The CUPOLAdecon 2 Decontamination unit has evolved from the well proven PORTAflex CUPOLA and is now being used throughout the fire and civil defence organisations worldwide.  A mult-purpose decontamination unit primarily intended for the decontamination of emergency services personnel.  It is also suitable for the mass decontamination of the general public, treating over 200 people an hour.  The unit comprises a removable inner lining supported by a heavy duty arched inflatable frame.  Optional raised floor panels prevent contact with the shower wash-off which is collected below in a built-in chemical resistant sump.  The interior layout can be altered to suit different decontamination procedures using removable partitions to achieve the desired configuration.  The showering system itself can be customised to suit individual requirements and with ancillary equipment such as water heaters and chemical inducers, it offers highly effective two stage warm water showering.  A variant of the CUPOLAdecon 2 is now the British Fire Service standard decontamination unit for use in case of chemical spillages or CBRN incidents.
