Servicing - A Key Component in Safety
16-02-2004

Emergency safety showers and eyebath are of little use if they are not ready for immediate use.

COSHH regulations stipulate that safety equipment must be “maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair”. In addition, a full service history must be kept for a period of at least five years and this must include a record of all examinations and tests that have been carried out.

To promote good practice and raise awareness of the need for regular servicing, Hughes Safety Showers is offering free site surveys. It enables companies to assess the condition and suitability of their equipment and the cost of bringing facilities up to date. Some prefer to carry out their own servicing; however, demands on time and resources often means that the work is not carried out thoroughly, or even carried out at all, reducing the effective service life of the equipment and compromising reliability.

To take advantage of a free site survey call Hughes on +44 (0)161 430 8070 or email service@hughes-safety-showers.co.uk
