New Temperature Controlled Shower Introduced By Hughes
05-02-2004
The temperature controlled Emergency Safety Shower is intended for outdoor use where the water needs to be heated.
It delivers tepid water for the American National Standard (ANSI) recommended minimum period of 15 minutes. Water from a 300 litre tank, fitted with a 3kW heater, is mixed with a mains-fed cold supply through a thermostatically controlled valve to maintain a shower temperature of between 25 and 35 deg C.
In addition to delivering water to its own shower head the unit can also supply heated water to other Emergency Safety Showers through a second outlet. Using this option, several unheated Emergency Safety Showers in one area can deliver water at the required temperature for the period recommended in the ANSI standard.
