The search is on!
To mark our 40th anniversary, we thought we’d have a bit of fun and give you the chance to pick up some great prizes.

We want to find the oldest working Hughes shower.
It doesn’t matter where it is or what condition it’s in, as long as it is still in use.

‘Quality has always been a key feature of our products, so it is quite possible that some of those early showers are still out there,’ says Tony Hughes. ‘But we need your help in tracking them down.’

There’s a prize for whoever finds the shower and a prize for the owner.

An i-Pod Nano for the finder of the oldest shower and 4 iPod Shuffles for the runners-up who discover the next four oldest showers. If preferred, a donation of equivalent value can be made to a charity of the winners’ choice.

The owner of the oldest shower will receive £100 worth of safety equipment from a supplier of their choice.

Terms and conditions.
1. Entry is free of charge and is not dependent on the entrant making a purchase.
2. An emergency safety shower or eyebath is defined as a shower or eyebath that has been specifically manufactured and sold for that purpose by Hughes Safety Showers
3. A photograph will be required and where possible a job number/reference number will be required to establish the age of the safety shower / eyebath.
4. Employees of Hughes Group companies are not allowed to enter the competition.
5. An individual can make as many entries as they wish.
6. Entrants do not have to be employed by or in any way associated with the company or organisation on whose site or premises the emergency safety shower is situated.

8. The competition closes midnight 31 August 2008
9. Winners will be announced 29 September 2008.
10. Winners will be notified personally and their names will appear on the Hughes web site.
11. One i-Pod nano or a cash donation of equivalent value will be awarded to the individual who finds the oldest emergency safety shower who have correctly submitted their entry by email or post.
12. An i-Pod shuffle, or a cash donation of equivalent value to charity will be awarded to each of four individuals who find the next four oldest showers and who have correctly submitted their entry by email or post.
13. Alternative cash donations to charity will be made to a registered charity specified by the winner.
14. One prize of £100 of safety equipment will be awarded to the company, organisation or individual who has legal ownership of the shower. The safety equipment can be purchased from any supplier.
15. The company reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equivalent value if for whatever reason, the i-Pod nano and i-Pod shuffle are not available.
16. By entering the competition, entrants agree to allow Hughes Safety Showers to publish information about the nominated shower.
17. In the event of a draw for first prize Hughes Safety Showers will randomly select the winner.
18. Participation in this promotion may involve a tax liability. Participants should check their tax position.
19. Participants should get permission from their employers to take part.
